Artist Biography

Fareeha Mahmood is an artist and aspiring art teacher. She earned her Associate in Fine Arts from Spokane Falls Community College in 2023. She will graduate with a BAE from Eastern Washington University in 2025. Originally from Multan, Pakistan, she now resides in Spokane, Washington.

Mahmood’s artistic practice is diverse, spanning multiple mediums, including charcoal, acrylic, oil pastels, ink, clay, and soft pastels. She primarily focuses on realism, often incorporating vibrant colors that reflect the rich hues found in Pakistani clothing, food, and wedding traditions. Inspired by nature, she brings elements of the natural world into her work, creating pieces that are both expressive and culturally rooted.

Passionate about art education, Mahmood hopes to promote artistic expression in the community and teach future generations about the cultural and historical significance of art. In Spring 2024, her ink drawing Times was featured in the Northwest Boulevard Literary Magazine.
